In between the other big chunks of work on the go, I’ve been continuing on with some of the other bit an pieces that need to be completed to finish off the plaster work.
I’ve been working on the bulkhead that is covering the beam that was put in the kitchen when the wall was removed. The original plan was to just wrap the been as tightly as possible with plaster sheeting, or possibly timber, but later on I decided that its probably best to pack it out just enough to mount the downlights that will be over the breakfast bar in the bulkhead. This will stop shadows being created if they are mounted on the ceiling.
We also decided to extend the wall in the kids TV room so that a three seat couch would fit along the back wall, and so that a desk/ homework station could be put on the opposite side of the wall in the hallway.
