Well it’s been a long time coming, but we are finally ready to start the floors of the main areas of the house.
Prep started a week ago which simply put, involves some seriously big concrete grinders being run across the existing slab to level it out.
This was followed by floor leveler, edge preparation, crack repair, and some serious vacuum cleaners! Finally, a thick layer of resin topped with about a tonne of sand to effectively turn our floor into 85 square meters of 80 grit sand paper!
Final prep will be to vacuum up the loose sand prior to pouring the new floor!
